A 50 year old and a 20 year old are not in the stage of their lives. They have different experiences and perhaps different desires in life. Not to mention, among gay men, such age differences are usually steeped in power differentials and exploitation. Granted this is not always the case, but to minimize such age differences as nothing but a personal whim is silly and misses a basic understanding of how our desires do not operate in a social vacuum.
