Having a drug-related felony pretty much excludes you from a lot: access to certain professional licenses; federal student aid; and, the most egregious one, ability to vote. Defending him is not going to get him to sleep with you. 🙄

Also, you can’t get the Federal pell grant, but you CAN get Federal educational opportunity and work study grants. And, the voting isn’t 100% true, either. I don’t know the guy in question here, but people can turn their lives around. And they should be able to. Millions of non-violent drug offenders have had their lives ruined - especially poor poc - by an unjust legal system and lack of resources to get back on their feet.

Though Alec was too clean cut to be with someone like that.
