I would say Tom has the bigger earning potential. Lance has written a few scripts. Not huge money in that.

Even before Lance entered the picture, I felt Tom was a media whore, and he's become even more insufferable as he's gotten older. Now that he [finally] won Olympic Gold, I can only imagine the size of his ego.

As for his better half, I think Tom understands that he could do so much better than DLB. And this is just my opinion, but I believe it wasn't Tom's idea to have a kid so quickly (and at such a young age) after getting married. That may have been DLB's idea to keep Tom, if not loyal, at least attached.

Let's see what happens in the 10m individuals. If Tom doesn't win Gold, even if he does stand on the podium, I'd say it was a disappointment for him as a diver.

And I doubt he'll compete in Paris '24. I always figured Tokyo would be Tom's last kick at the Olympic gold can. I fully expect him to focus on a celebrity career once Tokyo is over.

So I’m watching a random video of Tom and his Grandpa Husband and theres just so many times where Tom looks just dead in the eyes as if he can almost see the fun world of being a young sexy athlete, being able to fuck anything but gave it all up to marry this man 20+ years older than him and got him to adopt a kid.

I’m kind of surprised you were able to find the screen shots from DLB’s old sex tape. Last I read when I heard about all this DLB did some major internet scrubbing to keep that out of the public eye. He lawyered up hard to get it taken off the internet, threatening to sue sites that had uploaded it. It was semi easy to do that back then. Good luck now finding the sex tape. That’s a pretty hard gem to find.

So Tom was at the very least attracted to DLB. Maybe he was thinking this would be a short fling (Tom was really young and probably hadn't had much experience with guys DLB's age - I am very confident Tom and Jack Laugher fooled around as teenagers), and maybe DLB thought Tom was his way to remain in the spotlight (yes, the media used him to the extreme in hyping London 2012).

Before the kid came along, I thought Tom would dump DLB for someone else - someone younger, studdier, etc. I will admit I was wrong.
