If the studios were smart, they'd launch their own amateur content site with their performers producing their content like that do on OF. Benefit of this is... the studio has access to the content, they can sell increased memberships to their sites off the backs of the performers' amateur content, they can even take over the post-production of the content, which is the achilles' heel of most performers (they don't have the time, the energy, etc.) and the studios can offer a 70/30 split (OF offers 80/20).

I think it would be worth it in the long run. Question is, do the studios think this is an opportunity for them?

My suggestion is the studios develop these channels that cater to the OF crowd, separate from the studio-produced content, but with the amateurs filming. What makes sense is that the studios would implement the same rigorous checking with these performers as with their own models.

I don't see this as an issue, but rather as another revenue stream for the studios.

Also, if the studios do go down this road, which I do not know if they will, I would hire a new team to manage the channels, so there is a clear distinction between studio-produced content and amateur-produced content.

A better way to explain this is 20th Century Fox and Searchlight Pictures (back in the old days). Searchlight was focused on independent films, but was still managed by Fox.

OF is at least partially guilty of causing the decline of model quality in former major studios like SC and CF by leaking talent away from the studio system (yeah, the new owners MG were no help either!). It opened up the selection of models to choose from. But the downside was a tsunami of sub-standard vids filmed on phone cameras, poorly edited, which averaged just a few minutes!

I for one will CELEBRATE OF's IMMINENT DEATH!

They offered their "workers" way too many ways to manipulate their services to their audience including hiding their video count, videos vs. photos nothing ever about length. False advertising through various other platforms that linked to their OF.

Now all of a sudden they feel their "industry" is under attack but never felt any sorrow for the millions who would displaced from their careers and left with nothing during the past 1.5 years.

Studio porn turned gross... All those heavily tattoed / Michelin guys in steroids. At least OF had several models who looked natural and off-circuit.

The only plus from OnlyFans was the fact you could see local hot guys doing porn. Wanted to see that muscle bro that never replies to you on Grindr naked or fuck? The appeal was local porn that was shot authentically, with no crazy stories or directives or agendas from studio porn. With no exploitation or messed up pay scales that studios give. You get paid fairly well for what you put in and the fanbase you received.

My only issue is that EVERYONE jumped on, so the quality degraded not just on OnlyFans or whatever fansite, but dating apps and social media. Everyone wanted to be a porn star. Everyone wanted to monetize every single thing. Likewise, everyone advertised and ruined your favorite places on Reddit or whatever. All amateur porn is seemingly not free and locked behind a paywall. Guys you hit up on DMs or Grindr just leading conversations to cashapp, their fansite or whatever money related deal.

Then some simply got greedy or too self-involved. Tons of guys traveling during a pandemic for "collabs". Do you really need to go to ten different cities and states for orgies, gangbangs, and anon cum dumps? During a global health pandemic, you preach that you're so responsible about? And then there are the guys that charged $3-10 for a subscription to their page, then charged further for full videos. Some charging $80-100 for a shower clip lol.
