tik tokers don't make much from their tik toks. there's been plenty of them who have called out tik tok on that creator fund bs. because they'll have videos with millions of views and then only get like $100 for it.
if he does sponsorships, that's where he's making his money from, companies throw money like crazy at influencers, especially on tik tok, because they know it'll reach a younger demographic than a regular ad. he could easily be making somewhere between $5k-$10k for just one sponsored post

I wanna state that my criticism for them comes from the sidelines as a spectator.
