They met when the grandpa was married to a woman, with his own offspring. Jr. was legitimately 17 and "pursued" the grandpa. The grandpa allegedly did not know.
I call bull.
They are, however, still going strong and the daddy keeps the boy on a tight leash. The boy is very internally homophobic and closeted to his family and for work purposes (pursuing playing pro baseball). He claims to not have any gay friends. And he's kind of an asshole if you try and become his friend, I'm sure it's the grandpa who forbids him from having his own life apart from him.
